Success Stories

Seed of Success

Another feather has been added to the success story history at AMG. We are again happy to share the success story of Shaik. Subhani, who was provided free education in AMG School, Chilakaluripeta. Recently, he came to AMG office and donated Rs 6000 in gratitude for the love and care, he received as child in AMG School. He lost his father, when he was a child and his mother used to work in AMG as Kitchen worker. Subhani joined AMG Residential School, Chilakaluripet in LKG and studied up to Junior College. After completing Junior College, with AMG Monthly Educational Support he finished his college/university studies. Now he secured a good job as Lecturer in a private college. Life is like two sides of a coin, people who are in need of help and people who are able to and willing to offer it. If students in need of financial support are on one side of the coin, AMG’s monthly educational assistance cab be called the second side. Subhani’s whole family are grateful to AMG and the donors for their sacrifice and generous support to make them self sustainable.

Donation by Polio Girl

Once again we at AMG are happy to share the success story of Karri Venkateswaramma, a differently-able girl from fishermen community has proven that disability is not an issue when we are confident in our ability by securing Government Job in District Co-operative Office in Guntur as Office subordinate, for which she will be paid more than Rs 10,000/- as salary per month. Now she became a useful and sustainable one. Recently she has come to AMG Office and donated her first month salary of Rs 9000 as a gratitude.

She is a shining example of how the AMG has rehabilitated a handicapped person’s life and made her independent. AMG has been inspirational in adding the much needed confidence in her life. Her parents and she are expressing profound gratitude to Dr. H.H. Deichmann donors of AMG and the Director AMG India International for the help rendered for the past 14 years. Parents informed that if AMG would not involve in the life of Venkateswaramma, she will be a dry fish vendor in around of village.

Thanksgiving

Another feather joins on AMG's success board! Once again we at AMG are happy to share the continuous success stories of our former students who become sustain today. Mr. Sundar Babu, son of a driver since 1986 in AMG, recently came to AMG and donated Rs 10000.  He studied Intermediate in AMG Junior College, Chilakaluripet and further completed MCA, he now working as a Software Engineer in Marlabs Company, Bangalore. His Sister also studied in AMG (Inter and Degree) and benefited from AMG's education support throughout her educational career. The whole family conveyed their gratitude to AMG and the Donors for the kind support.

Gratitude makes sense of our past...

Once again, we are happy to share the success stories of two brothers who were helped by AMG India and who received education free of cost in AMG School, Chilakaluripeta. Both the brothers came today to AMG office and donated Rs 50000 in gratitude for the love and care they received as children in AMG School. Suresh Makkena and Ramesh Makkena are brothers. Both their parents are illiterates and came to work in AMG in 1990. Their father can leave the job and live with his sons who are now doing good jobs. But he preferred to work in our in AMG Bommuru School so long as his health permits and serve the poor children in the schools.Mr.Suresh joined in 7th class and Mr. Ramesh joined in 5th class in the year 1991. After completing their high school studies, AMG provided them with Monthly Educational Support to finish their higher studies in Colleges/ Universities. Now they have secured good jobs and are well settled in life. Both the brothers are married and blessed with children.

Speaking with the Director, both of them expressed their gratitude to Bro. John David Ayyagaru, Founder, AMG India and Dr. H. H. Deichmann, President, Wort & Tat, Germany, for AMG help and said that only because of AMG’s kind support, they could reach their present positions.

Duty is ours’ and results are God’s. We at AMG strongly believe that the Will of God the Vision of John David Ayyagaru is fulfilled by seeing the transformed lives of above brother Suresh and Ramesh Makkena.

Success stories like these help a lot to keep us in AMG India encouraged and motivated and make us to work harder to reach and serve more and more deserving poor and needy students. What really makes us PROUD is the fact that we were successful in instilling life-values in the minds of these young-men and building a 'Sharing Attitude' in them.

Bouncing back

It gives us immense pleasure to share the success story of Mr Pilli. Babu, a former student of AMG who studied from LKG to Intermediate in AMG Campus,Chilakaluripet. After intermediate he got benefited from AMG's educational support to continue his studies. Both his father and mother were the employees of AMG, where his father worked as gardener and mother worked as Kitchen Helper.

Unfortunately his father was expired, but he continued his studies through the educational support of AMG. After finished his MCA, he has appeared for Bank exams and got selected as Asst.Manager at Union Bank of India. Recently he visited AMG and donated RS 20000 towards the welfare of AMG. He conveyed his gratitude to AMG and Donors for the kind support to complete his education.

The success stories like these help us a lot to keep motivated and work harder to reach more and more deserving students. What really makes us PROUD is the fact that we have been successful in igniting their minds and building a 'Giving Attitude' in them.

We are confident that each one of our scholars will continue to pay forward and be a valuable asset to our country INDIA by being honest, since & well behaved wherever they are and whatever position they are in.

Overcame Handicaps

As we all know that A stone is well shaped in the hands of a sculptor, similarly most of the students who studied in AMG strongly believe that their future is brightly shaped. Here we would like to share another success story of a student who is handicapped but overcame with the support of AMG.  Mantri Ramesh Subramanyam Naidu came from Hindu Community. He was born without right toes, right and left hand fingers. With two fingers he learns to write. His father is a car driver and mother is a housewife. With the meagre income his is not able to provide proper amenities, education and medical treatment due to poverty. Hence the parents sought help from AMG, with the humanitarian grounds AMG admitted him in Adobe of Hope in 2005 for his better future.

He was joined in AMG Residential High School, Bheemili in 6th grade and studied up to 10th grade. He passed 10th grade with 483 marks. He came to know about Lord Jesus and learn Bible verses and stories while he studied in AMG. Later he joined Intermediate in private college and passed with 93%. He also appeared for I.I.T exam and secured All India 41 rank. He could stand in good position in of his education because of the support of AMG. He remains thankful to Dr. Deichmann, and to AMG and conveyed his gratitude for the kind help.

Seed fell into Good Soil

“And other seed fell into the good soil, and grew up, and produced a crop a hundred times as great” .The above Bible verse is true in case of all those who sowed themselves in AMG. This is another success story of Ms.P.Priyadarshini who brought up in our AMG Homes of Hope Center in Guntur succeeded in attaining a Bank Job.

Recently she came to AMG, Chilakaluripet and met the Director to convey her gratitude. She said that “I really grateful to AMG and Wortundtat for being supported me throughout my education. I finished my Post graduation in M.Sc (Bio Chemistry) and now I got a Job as Bank Officer with the kind help and educational support from AMG and now working in State Bank of Hyderabad, Kodada”. She is an example of how AMG is taking care of Homes of Hopes to transform the lives of poor children. She is also donated an amount of Rs.10000/- to AMG towards the welfare of poor and needy.

Girl with Polio cracked Govt Job

Once again we at AMG are happy to share the success story of Karri Venkateswaramma, a differently-able girl from fishermen community has proven that disability is not an issue when we are confident in our ability by securing Government Job in District Co-operative Office in Guntur as Office subordinate, for which she will be paid more than Rs 10,000/- as salary per month. Now she became a useful and sustainable one.

Karri Venkateswaramma, who is studying II year of three year graduation in AMG Degree College, Chilakaluripet (2011-12)was afflicted with polio when she was only two years old. She comes from fishermen community of Mruthyunjayapuram in Repalle Mandal of Guntur District, which is coastal belt area of Bay of Bengal. As she was affected with Polio Disease she was neglected by neighbours. Parent’s income by fishing became hand to mouth only. In these situations they came to know that AMG only provides total care to her daughter at free of cost. So they admitted her in AMG School, Chilakaluripet. When she was in 4th grade, she underwent Corrective surgery her right lower limb like near normalcy.

We strongly believe the Bible saying in 1 Peter 5:6 “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time”, as Venkateswaramma was selected as Office Subordinate based on her merit marks in 7th grade,in due time.

“If I would have felt I’m handicapped or disadvantaged, I would have lost the battle and without AMG’s support I may not be in the battle field,” said Venkateswaramma.

She added that "This job has changed my life completely. I can sustain and take care of myself and my family needs without anyone’s help. This has certainly made me a responsible person.

I salute AMG India for its relentless pursuit of the mission to create accessible environments and employment opportunities for the disabled.

Feeling Gratitude

Life is a gift, and it offers us the privilege, opportunity, and responsibility to give something back by becoming more. Here we would like to share another success story of Mr.Sk.Shajahan, who studied in AMG Residential High School, Chilakaluripet and now working as a Software Engineer working for a Multinational Company in USA. Recently he came back to his home school and donated $2000 to AMG as gratitude.

You can make a difference!

We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give. Believing the above saying and inspired by AMG's services Mr.Alfred Ashish Kanti Mohanty working as a Software Engineer in a Multinational Company has donated Rs.10000/- to AMG seen in the below picture.

Giving Back

We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give. Once again we at AMG are happy to share the success story of Ms.P.Anuradha, former student of AMG who recently donated an amount of Rs.10000 towards the welfare of the school where she was completed her schooling. Ms.Anuradha feels that she has been blessed with the best of opportunities and it is time for her to help as many as she can. It is also interesting to know that after completion of her Teacher’s Course (B.Ed) she also worked as a teacher in AMG for sometime and now near her village Ponnur. We believe that children are our future and we must invest in them to ensure their foundations are strong. We hope that this will surely be an inspiration to many and especially to the students who are studying in AMG educational institutes, who wish to make it to the top.

Railway track to Right track

Yet another success on AMG platform!

My name is Raghumandala Shankar. I was born on 2nd January 1993, at a village Rajam in Srikakulam district. I lost my mother when I was 4 years old. My father expired when I was studying 7th grade. After this I was under my maternal uncle’s care for six months. He was not accepted to continue my education and forced me to work in agricultural fields. But I have no interest to work in agricultural fields and wanted to study. Therefore I escaped from him without any goal, and used to wandering in passenger trains.

At that time Mr.Kumar, a boy from Dr. Cornelia AMG Platform and Street Children Home brought me to Chirala saying that AMG provides Food, Shelter and education. As soon I was admitted in the project the caretaker Mr.Haner Babu (late) joined me in 8th class in Sri Raghava Reddy Aided Memorial High School, Chirala. As it is very near to the project he built a good foundation to my life. While I was in the project I completed 8th, 9th and 10th classes. I got 555 marks out of 600 in 10th class and stood first in the town. After that I joined Intermediate and secured 940/1000. I appeared for All India Institute of Technology Examinations and got a seat in Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati in Assam State. Now at present I am studying First year B.Tech with specialized subjects of Electronics and communication Engineering. The above all things are happened by the grace of Almighty Lord Jesus Christ, and loving help of Dr.Deichmann, Dr.John David and Dr. Cornelia. I am ever grateful to them.

 Another feather joins AMG

Blessed are those who can give without remembering, and take without forgetting. We at AMG are may not remember all the helps rendering to the thousands of poor and needy children to complete their education but are happy to share that some of them are giving back without forgetting the helping hand of AMG which makes them respected citizens in the society. Mr.K.Anvesh Kumar is such a person who got benefited from our education support to complete his B.Tech(IT) degree and now becomes employed by CAPGEMINI , a reputed software company in the world. Recently he met the Director,AMG India and donate his first month salary of Rs.21,545/- and conveyed his heartfelt thanks to AMG and Wortundtat for their generous support.

Giving back after benefited

Giving back after being helped in life by someone is a noble quality, only a few individuals possesses. In Bible, Luke 17:11-19 clearly reveals the same, when only one of 10 lepers healed by Jesus came back to give thanks. This was appreciated and highlighted by Jesus.

We at AMG are also happy to share the success stories of our students who were grateful enough to acknowledge the timely help by AMG for their education. They are now well settled in their life and are coming forward to give back to AMG. Mr. K. Raja Moses Chandrasekhar is one such ideal person, who got benefited through our education support to complete his B.Tech Degree and now working as Asst Prof in an Engineering College. He said that with the help of AMG he is in that position and donated his first month salary of Rs.8000/- to AMG. He conveyed his gratitude to AMG & Wortundtat for their generous support.

Breaking the Myth..

In the past, victims of leprosy were shunned by society and forced to form leper colonies, their children were mistreated and not allowed in local schools. Social stigma of being the children of lepers has dissected them from the mainstream of the society. To remove this social stigma AMG has started Leprosy Relief and Rehabilitation projects and their children are offered education in all AMG Schools. Here we would like to share the success story of  Y. Indira, daughter of a leprosy victim who is benefiting through AMG's ration distribution to leprosy victims at Anaparthy, near Rajamundry.

"I am Y. Indira, my parents are leprosy victims. When I was a child, my parents used to beg on the streets and earn our livelihood. Each morning when I watched other children go to school I was very l sad and lonely. Local school authorities were not willing to admit me in their schools. In these situations, we came to know about AMG and its services to leprosy victims. When I approached AMG, they moved with compassion and admit me in their school at Rajavolu. AMG is also kind enough to provide my family with monthly ration support. I am grateful to Dr. S. John David ayyagaru for establishment of leprosy relief and rehabilitation colonies and provide education to their children. Now I finished my schooling and pursuing MPHW (Multipurpose Health Workers) training course with the kind education support of AMG. I am sure that without AMG's help and support I could not become what I am today. I am grateful to AMG and Wortundtat for their generous support. "

 Miserable to desirable

Welcome back to success platform of AMG. As you all know education gives wings to the dreams of everyone those who wants to become something special in the society. Here we would like to share the successful story of Mr. S.Hemanth Kumar, who studied from 4th grade to 10 grade at AMG RHS, Bheemili during 1999-2006 and now pursuing MBBS II year. He said that, without AMG’s help he would not have become he is today. “I am S. Hemanth Kumar from Visakhapatnam. Ours is a very poor family, where my father is a daily wage labourer. Often he is suffering from ill health and not able to do any work. I have one younger brother who is deaf & dumb. With little income my father earning is not sufficient to send us to school. At that situation we came to know about AMG. After knowing to our miserable conditions, AMG was kind enough to provide free education, books, cloths etc. I studied from 4th class to 10th class in AMG RHS, Bheemili during 2000-06 and stood School first in 10th class by securing 542 out of 600 marks. After that I wrote APRJC CET, got Rank 90, and was allotted a seat in APRJC, Nimmakuru in Krishna district. I received monthly education support during that period through AMG.  There also I stood college First by securing 95.5% marks.

After completion of Intermediate I appeared for EAMCET and got 2534th rank, admitted into Maharaja Institute of Medical Sciences, Vizianagaram. Now I competed my First year and pursuing 2nd year. I owe AMG and Donors a lot for helping me in a very miserable situation. It’s all your blessings which made me to join my MBBS. After becoming a full fledged doctor, I will surely be a part of AMG and help the poor and needy students like me."

 Building Dreams

Once again we at AMG would like to share another successful story of a girl named P. Hema who studied at AMG Residential High School, Bheemili, now became an Architect and is supporting her poor family. Recently she came to AMG Area office, Vizag to convey her gratitude to AMG and wrote a thanking letter as follows. “I am P. Hema from Visakhapatnam. I just wanted to write a thank you note to say without your kind support and help, I would not be where I am today. Ours is merely a middle class family and my father is an agricultural labour. I studied from 4th standard to 10th standard during 1998-2006 in AMG Residential High School, Bheemili. After that I joined Polytechnic course (Architecture Group) in Govt. Polytechnic College for Women, Kakinada. After completion of my course I got an opportunity to work as an Architect in a company in Visakhapatnam. Really speaking AMG is the real architect which builds thousands of poor and needy children dreams come true. I have two sisters. Elder sister is studying polytechnic course first year (civil group) and younger sister is studying 9th class in AMG School,Bheemili. I am really grateful to AMG and Donors for their love and support towards poor and needy children”.

 Breaking the Barriers

Imprisonment damages family life and separates children from parents which in turn affect their education. A survey carried out in a prison reveals that the head of the family is imprisoning in most of the cases thus causes many problems to their families. To reduce this harm AMG started a project to support the children and families of prisoners. The main problem is that so many of the prisoners are fathers. Fathers are usually the backbone of the family and when they are gone their partners and their children are very much affected. But AMG makes the difference in the lives of prisoners by extending helping hand to their children to continue their studies through monthly education support and monthly subsistence to their families to live a dignified life in the society. We are happy to share the successful story of M. Naga Malleswari who benefited from this project and moving forward to higher studies, in her own words.

“I am M. Naga Malleswari from Guntur District. I have two younger sisters. Ours is a conservative family background. My father was imprisoned for the last 7 years for attempt of murder and was sentenced life imprisonment. My mother worked as a labour and earned our daily bread. At this situation AMG moved with compassion and joined me and my sister in AMG RHS, CPT and we studied from 4th grade to Intermediate in AMG. Now I am studying CA course with the education support of AMG. I am very grateful to AMG and wortundtat for their generous support towards my family.”

 Death to life

Once upon a time the boy who tried to commit suicide, now busy in preparing his future bright. He always said that it is only because of AMG’s helping hand. The boy’s name is Mr. Avula Ravi Teja, whose parents were departed legally in his childhood. His grandmother put him in a tractor shed to work. One day Labour Inspector identified him and got some information about the owner of the Tractor shed. In fact, Ravi Teja doesn’t know about the ride of Labor Inspector. Hence he was scared of his owner and had guilty from labour Inspector’s punishment. He then attempted suicide with Caustic Soda. Its impact did not work immediately results he was hospitalized in Govt. Hospital in Chilakaluripet. Fortunately Ravi Teja was saved from severe suicide attempt. This facilitation did by AMG, means AMG gave life to him and spent money and time for his relief.

After recovered, AMG joined him in AMG-NLSH (New Life Self Help) Centre, Vijayawada and let him go to School from 2nd standard. Now in his 9th standard Ravi Teja good at NCC activities like drill, firing and stood 1st place in District & state level which in turn results a chance to participate National level competitions which will be held in Secunderabad and Delhi.

 IITian from AMG School

Getting a seat in IIT* is not an easy task. It is the dream of every Indian student of course. We at AMG are proud to share the success story of our student E.Neena who got it in Himachal Pradesh, IIT- Mandi. The girl, Neena studied from LKG to X class in AMG RHS at Parimithadaka , Yeleswaram and secured high marks in X class. After that she was offered to study Intermediate by a corporate college in Rajahmundry on merit basis. She got good marks (87.3%) in Intermediate also appeared for IIT-JEE 2011 and secured 404 All India Rank, allotted seat at Himachal Pradesh, IIT- Mandi. She said that being coming from poor agriculture family background she never thought of education, but AMG’s Free Education projects at Parimithadaka and Yeleswaram transformed as an IITian. She is now aiming for civil services and AMG will continue to provide the required help and as and when needed. To continue her future studies, AMG Director Dr.Arun Kumar K.Mohanty announced an encouraging amount of Rs 10000 and handover the same to her.

The success stories like Neena helps us a lot to keep motivated and work harder to reach more and more deserving students.

*IIT-India Institute of Technology is one of the top most Engineering colleges and selections are made on the basis of entrance test conducted at All India level.

Time for a big Applause !

As the world celebrates the 100th Anniversary of International Women’s Day this year, AMG has a special reason to celebrate. One of the buds of AMG has bloomed into a successful Nurse today. Baby, as her name says is a lamp of AMG who is lighting life of many others.Coming from a conservative family, and a sister of six, Baby’s father is a Fisherman who struggles day and night to make ends meet.  Having defied all the barriers, Baby is now a major support to her family. Under the nurture of AMG her dreams sprung up as she passed AMG Ichthus School Vadarevu 12 years back.
