AMG TB Hospital and workers houses submerged in flood waters

During last week there were heavy rains in Andhra Pradesh, particularly, in areas surrounding Chilakaluripeta. As a result of heavy rains, there was lot of inflow of flood water into the small river flowing on the outskirts of Chilakaluripeta. The waters overflowed and inundated Chilakaluripeta. AMG TB Hospital and workers houses next to TB Hospital were submerged. By God’s grace all the patients were moved to AMG campus. Some people climbed on top of houses and shouted for help. NDRF personnel came with boats and rescued the stranded persons.


 

Cleaning AMG TB Hospital after the floods

The flood waters entered into AMG TB Hospital and damaged some furniture/ medicines/ instruments/ floor etc. The staff worked hard to remove the mud in the Hospital premises and make it ready for treating the TB patients.

 


 

Flood Relief distributed in Aminsahebpalem

Many villages in Guntur district were affected by incessant rains over the past 5 days and water flooding into the villages. The District Collector, Guntur convened a meeting of Government officers and NGOs and requested NGOs to come forward the flood affected people. Villages in Nadendla mandal was allotted to AMG. Yesterday, we distributed flood relief to nearly 100 persons in Aminsahebpalem. The distribution was conducted in the presence of Mrs. Kamalakumari Deputy Collector (Spl duty) and Mrs. Sireesha Tahasildar, Nadendla Mandal.


 

Relief materials given to Flood victims

Today, AMG Director and staff distributed Relief materials to 120 Flood victims in Ganapavaram village. AMG gave them 10 kgs of Rice, 2 kgs of Dal, 1 Liter Cooking oil, 1 Bath Soap and 1 Detergent and 1 Saree and 1 Pant and shirt and 2 bedsheets. The flood victims were very happy and thanked the donors for their love and help to them.


 

AMG Jr. College students win prizes

Students from AMG Junior College, Chilakaluripeta secured prizes in the State-level Boxing competition for under 19 yrs girls, conducted by School Games Federation of Andhra Pradesh in Bhimavaram. AMG Director and Sri. K. Jacob, Vice-President congratulated them and shared their joy.
