Some persons suffering from cancer, from the nearby districts in Odisha, came to Vizag, for Radiation and Chemotherapy treatment. They completed their treatment, but could not return to their villages, as there were no bus/ train communication, due to country-wide lockdown. They are staying in AQJ College premises. As they have exhausted all money with them and as there are no hotels outside to eat and many of them are poor/ illiterate villagers, AMG staff came to know about their pitiable condition and on humanitarian grounds provided food.

Many Migrant workers -from Odisha, Bihar and Jharkhand- are stuck up near Chilakaluripet, due to countrywide lockdown. They are not getting engaged in labour work in construction activity or coolie works and in agriculture, as all these works are stopped due to the Lockdown. They have no money to buy things for themselves. Local Government Officer, Mrs. Prameela, Tahasildar, Chilakaluripet requested AMG to help them with Rice, Dal, Cooking oil, vegetables, soaps etc. so that, they can cook food and do not starve for lack of money. Today, we distributed the food items to 200 Migrant Workers, who have thanked AMG and Donors Wort & Tat, Germany for their kind help.
