COVID 19 Relief-Rations given to parents of AMG School children

AMG School, Piduguralla, was started to educate the children of poor Lime kiln workers. They are very poor and came here from different districts of AP, to work in the kilns. The place is full of smoke and dust coming from the lime kilns. Due to lockdown the lime kilns were closed, and the workers did not have any work or income. Considering their utter poverty, our Donors, Wort & Tat, Germany came forward to provide rations to 650 poor lime kiln worker families.

AMG supported by Wort & Tat, Germany is providing English medium education to children of socially & economically backward families, in 6 DCC Schools/centers, in Chilakaluripet. As these parents, who are unskilled and daily wage workers, are severely affected by the COVID-19 lockdown, as they could not go for work and did not get any income and were unable to feed themselves and children in the family. They were almost starving due to no income. In view of this, AMG staff went and gave 530 families, of children studying in AMG DCC Schools in Chilakaluripet, food rations to overcome lack of income and feed the family members.

Fishermen families in Bheemili given rations.

However, due to lockdown, they were not allowed to go for fishing in the sea. Some of their children are studying in AMG School. We have distributed food ration packets to these fishermen families to meet the difficulty caused by lockdown and no work.
