PRESIDENT & DIRECTOR

Dr. Arun Kumar Kanti Mohanty is the youngest son of Mr. Alfred Kanti Mohanty and Mrs. Vivekavathi, a God fearing couple in Odisha. He completed his M.A. (Pol. Science) in 1972, with University First rank and won Gold medal in the Berhampur University (Odisha). He completed Bachelor of Law degree in 1973. After that he completed CA IIB, M.Phil and P.hd (Acharya Nagarjuna University).

After working for 3 years in Canara Bank, he joined State Bank of India, in 1976, as a Probationary Officer and worked in official / managerial capacities in accounts, advances, auditing and administration.

He married Kezia Lavanya, eldest daughter of Dr. John David, on 17th Jan 1979. Initially, he worked in Orissa state from 1976 to 1988. Then, in 1988, he was transferred to Andhra Pradesh and was posted at Visakhapatnam, where AMG also has some projects.

In view of his Christian upbringing and his desire to help people in need, he was drawn to AMG activities and spent most of his free time in streamlining and developing AMG work in Vizag, to serve more beneficiaries in Visakhapatnam area. Seeing his dedicated work in helping others, even when not working in AMG, Evg. Dr. John David and the Chief Donor Dr. H. H. Deichmann, invited him to join AMG. He resigned his job in State Bank of India in October 1996 and joined AMG as its Director.

Arun and Kezia have two daughters and a son: Serene, Renee and Samuel.
