FounderDr. S. John David, Founder, was born on October 17th, 1926, to Mr. Surala Gabriel and Mrs. Krupamma, in Balighattam village, Narsipatnam Mandal, Visakhapatnam District, Andhra Pradesh, in India.

CHILDHOOD: When he was still a boy, John David lost his father, due to poor medical facilities in the village. As a widow in an orthodox family, his mother faced lot of problems. Later, she got a job as a teacher in a missionary school for girls. However, John David, as a boy, had to stay outside, at his uncles’ home, as boys were not allowed in the campus. He had difficult life in his childhood years.

EDUCATION: With his father deceased and mother away in mission hostel, John David’s school education suffered badly. His education stopped after 7th grade as he developed serious anti-British feeling and wanted to join "Azad Hind Fouz" under Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.

 ARMY SERVICE: Later, John David joined the British Army in Signal Corps at Jabalpur, where he learned teleprint. He was later sent to Delhi and then to Burma. 

After World War II, he came back to India and worked at the Secretariat, as a Teleprinter Operator. Then he served as Supervisor of Teleprinter Operators. Later, he was sent to Hyderabad, where he sought relief from the Army on the grounds of caring for his ageing widowed mother, as he was her only child.

MARRIAGE: On 3rd Nov 1955, John David married a medical doctor, Dr.Satyavedam, from Chilakaluripet, a semi-rural place in Guntur Dist. A.P. Dr. Satyavedam dedicated herself to serve the poor & needy. She was the first Lady Doctor, in Chilakaluripet. She took a fee of only Rs. 1/- annually. They have one son and four daughters, all settled in life.

Mr. John David’s social work was started in a small way in 1968. He helped 20 poor children, keeping them in his house at Chilakaluripet. His wife, Dr. Satyavedam, who was a medical doctor, used to take care of the financial responsibility of these poor children.

Dr. John David and Dr. Satyavedam, came to an understanding, at the time of their marriage that, she will be the earning member of the family, while Dr. John David would continue preaching the Gospel and helping poor people.

AMG India organization was started Mr. John David with the hard earned money (Rs.40,000/-) of his wife Dr. Satyavedam David. Over the years, AMG India developed and diversified into many activities and at many places. At present, AMG India service projects are spread in many places in coastal districts of A. P., parts of Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Odisha.

SOCIAL WORKER: After leaving the army, Mr. John David became very religious. He followed the 3-dimensional path of Jesus Christ: Preaching, Feeding and Healing. He began his social service work, to help the poor, un-cared and distressed persons, with the hard-earned money of his wife, who was a successful medical doctor and continued to freely treat poor patients. In 1968, Mr. John David went to America for a conference. There, he met some people, who volunteered to help in his social work. He returned to India, and pledged himself wholly to the upliftment of the poor & hungry, sick & destitute by starting an organization, which is the present, AMG India International.

Though, AMG started from scratch, his work developed in multifarious ways and it is one of the largest social work organizations in India today. His work, since then to till date, can be broadly classified as Health & Education projects, Community Care for Children & Aged, Emergency & Long-term relief to the Victims of Nature Calamities.
