Financial Assistance for Roads, Drains:-
If there are no proper roads, it is very difficult for people to travel to and from their homes. And if there are no roads, there cannot be any drains. So, the water will stagnate in front of houses. It gives a place for mosquitoes, pigs, dogs to live and multiply there. Because of this, poor people are suffering a lot and they often fall sick and get many diseases. Chilakaluripet is a small Municipality, with very little funds available. As a result, the town hardly had any roads. During rainy season, it was full of mud. Similarly, absence of drains led to water stagnation everywhere, which became a reproduction ground for mosquitoes and flies, resulting in spread of communicable diseases, like Malaria, Cholera, Typhoid, and Jaundice etc. People become sick and had to spend their little earnings, on medicines and doctors and also, lose income for days, they could not go for work, as they are mostly daily workers in agricultural fields or in the cotton mills. AMG is for the people. AMG cares for the under-privileged people. So, AMG donated Rs. 3.00 crores to Government for construction of drains and building of roads in Chilakaluripet and Narasaraopet Towns.
Water Reservoirs and Drinking Water:-
Meeting the need of clean-Drinking water supply, in the past in Chilakaluripet was mainly from Nallamada Canal. To serve the need of the hometown, initially AMG started distributing water through tankers, during summer. But how long can it continue, compared to the growing needs? The Government instructed the Municipality, to collect money from the public, to install a Drinking Water Project for the whole town. Chilakaluripet is a backward place. How can they contribute crores of rupees? Where there is need, AMG comes to rescue. At this juncture, AMG Founder, Dr. S. John David Ayyagaru approached Dr. Deichmann and convinced him of the need to contribute on behalf of the people. He donated Rs.4.50 Crores. AMG constructed 3 large Overhead Water Reservoirs and pipelines were laid to bring water from Nagarjuna Sagar canal. AMG also contributed money, for building a summer storage tank for retaining water. AMG also contributed money to lay water pipe lines to all slum areas of Chilakaluripet. Total contribution for this water schemes is Rs. 7.00 crores. Because of this help now people are able to drink pure / healthy water.
Bore-Wells in slums and villages:-
In Andhra Pradesh, due to variable monsoons, inadequacy of rainfall, deficiency of soil moisture, with long spells of dry weather and hot temperature, drought occurs very frequently. Most important sources of irrigation in the state are Bore-Wells, Tanks and Canals. Drawing of ground water by means of Bore-Wells is an important replacing traditional method of water lifting. Problems faced by People-1. Available water is inadequate and un-hygienic. 2. Fluoride content is very high, people suffering with fluoride related diseases. 3. Children and cattle are becoming anemic due to contaminated water. 4. Women have to walk long distance to fetch a pot of drinking water. Our desire is to provide good drinking water to those who lack it. AMG has spontaneously reacted to this and dug several Bore Wells, wherever necessary. AMG is working hard, to help people affected by drought by providing drinking water facilities. Drought prone village people are happy, as they are getting sufficient and hygienic drinking water.
Medical Equipment to Government General Hospitals:-
If there is no proper medical equipment in the hospitals, it is very difficult to treat the patients and do the surgeries. Because of this, many poor patients lose their lives. One of the major services of AMG is Health. So, when government requests for any kind of medical equipment in government hospitals, we provide the necessary items. In this process we provided C.T. On this process Mr. J. Satyanarayana, Guntur SP requested AMG to help these deserted and desolated people. AMG is always for the poor and AMG meets the need of hour. AMG responded to his request and provided Rickshaws, Sewing Machines and financial help etc.

Acharya Nagarjuna University Vice-Chancellor and other officials came to AMG and requested donation for construction of seminar hall in the University campus, Guntur. AMG has accepted their appeal and contributed of Rs.2 crores for construction of an Auditorium-cum-Seminar Hall in ANU campus. We are very much delighted to see that they named it as Dr. H. H. Deichmann and Dr. S. John David Auditorium. This is very much usefulfor promoting Academic Excellence among the Scholars and Educationists/ Academicians. Many seminars and meetings are being conducted in this hall.
Cobbler’s Complex at Guntur City and Avanigadda Town:-
The cobblers did not have any proper place to work in Guntur town. They were sitting on road side, or under a tree, in hot sun and rain and mending or making shoes. If they are given shops to work, they can work better and also we can give them human dignity. Sri T. Gopal Rao, IAS was the District Collector of Guntur District. At Dr. John David’s request, he allotted a site on the main road. 20 shops were constructed and handed over to Municipality for maintenance. It was opened by then, Chief Minister Shri Bhavanam Venkata Rami Reddy in 1982. Seeing this good Work the Municipality constructed another 20 shops in the 1st floor.
Diviseema Tidal wave and cyclone in 1977, in Krishna District, is considered India’s first Super-Cyclone, which killed 14,204 persons. When Dr. John David was told about the damage caused and the pathetic conditions of cobbler community in Avanigadda, he was moved with compassion and constructed a complex for Cobblers for their workshops.
